Within the Oporajita collective impact initiative, COS is a Co-Funder of the Enabling Environment thematic area.
COS is funding the establishment and delivery of Women-Friendly Spaces in local communities close to our supply chain, in partnership with CARE Bangladesh as the implementation organisation. These spaces provide education on GBVH, stress management, and nutrition, as well as psychosocial support and other counselling to over 4000 women and 1000 family members in their communities.
The year-round profits from the global sale of a reusable COS tote bag are invested in this project during 2023, with the aim of engaging COS customers in the work also.
Inspired by contemporary culture, COS is a London-based fashion brand known for iconic wardrobe pieces, elevated essentials, and innovative designs that are made to last. Dedicated to quality and sustainability, COS takes a bespoke approach to design, creating unique collections that combine function with timeless style.
COS has a 252-store portfolio, spanning 48 physical markets and 38 markets online.
COS stands for equality and empowerment. Throughout our tier one supply chain (direct business partners and product manufacturing partners) we contribute to the work of over 128,000 workers in 12 different countries. To this end, in addition to the establishment of a strategy which focuses on creating long-term change when it comes to a gender equal supply chain, COS also engages in community investments such as Oporajita, to go beyond the factory walls and into the communities.
We were drawn to Oporajita due to its natural fit with our gender equality ambitions, as well as its unique approach to delivering a holistic range of social interventions in a multi-stakeholder setting.
